Growing Information
Roma Tomato seedlings thrive in full sun, requiring 6-8 hours of sunlight a day. They're compact and suited for container gardening - just choose a container that holds at least 5 gallons and has good drainage. Remember, these seedlings are frost-sensitive, so it's best to transplant them when the danger of frost is past. Though they don't require heavy staking, a little support can prevent the fruits from resting on the soil. You'll start to see the fruits of your labor in about 70-80 days. Your tomato-growing journey is about to begin!
'Nir’s Take'
“The classic Roma, awesome for spaghetti sauce or red sauce. I love growing these and mixing them up. This would be the base for the sauce and then I would toss in some other tomato varieties to see how the flavors would blend together. They produce a lot, so if you like making sauces, especially towards the end of the year when you need a bunch of tomatoes, I’d suggest growing a lot of these plants. They’re easy to grow - just put them next to each other, keep harvesting them and you’ll see how great it will be.”
