Growing Information
The Biquinho Yellow pepper is an heirloom variety that thrives in warm, full-sun conditions. Start your journey by transplanting your seedlings outdoors after the final frost, once nighttime temperatures consistently stay above 65 F. Well-draining, slightly acidic soil with a pH of 6.0–7.0 will make your Biquinho Yellow peppers feel right at home. Keep the soil evenly moist, and apply a mulch layer to retain moisture and suppress weeds. With a bit of monthly feeding, your Biquinho peppers will reward you with healthy growth and abundant fruiting.
'Nir’s Take'
“Much like the Bino red pepper, the Biquinho Yellow is a garden superstar. The sizes of these peppers are spectacular, and the vibrant yellow color adds a fresh pop to your harvest. The fruity taste is a big hit and a great talking point when you mix the red and yellow ones together. They are pretty short plants, so they don’t take up a lot of space, but they produce a good amount of peppers. I’d recommend one red, one yellow for that color vitality.”
