Growing Information
Once your Tabasco seedlings have developed several true leaves, it's time to give them a new home. Choose a sunny spot in your garden with well-draining, nutrient-rich soil. When transplanting, remember to give each plant enough room to grow, spacing them about 14-18 inches apart. These peppers are sun-lovers, thriving best in 8-12 hours of full sun. Keep the soil consistently moist but not waterlogged and apply a balanced fertilizer every two to three weeks during flowering and fruiting stages. With a little bit of care and patience, you'll see these peppers mature in about 90 days from transplant.
'Nir’s Take'
“If you like a Tabasco, this would be the pepper that you’d be making your own Tabasco with. I’ve done it before and it tastes amazing. This is a pretty versatile plant. You can grow it in the garden or you can grow it in a pot and the peppers are obviously very hot, but not like crazy hot cause if you’ve had Tabasco, you know that it’s got like that tang flavor to it when you add vinegar. That fruity tang, combined with the heat, is a taste sensation that’s hard to beat!”
