Growing Information
Our Tunisian Baklouti thrives in warm, sunny environments and rich, well-draining soil. Start them indoors with bright light, then transplant them outdoors once temperatures stay above 65°F. They prefer a slightly acidic to neutral soil with a pH of 5.5–7.0. Water consistently, allowing the soil to dry slightly between waterings. With a balanced fertilizer every 3–4 weeks, these plants can reach heights of up to three feet and take about 80–90 days to mature. Remember, the fruits turn from green to red when ready to harvest.
'Nir’s Take'
“These are pretty large peppers and they look great in the garden. They’re good for roasting and drying and they’re not crazy spicy. If you like to enjoy peppers roasted or in your dishes, the Tunisian Baklouti is a must-try.”
